Angel Fickes

Angel began her training at American Karate Studios in early 2005 after watching her two older brothers train for a couple months. It became Angel’s goal to keep pace with her brothers and achieve success at AKS, and in no time, she had reached that goal. In October, 2006 she began competing in tournaments; 18 years later, she has earned 39 PKC national titles, 41 Ohio PKC titles, 9 PKRA titles and 4 "Big Dog" PKC titles - 3 Black Belt Self-Defense (2011, 2012, 2013) & 1 Adult Black Belt Women's Fighting (2023). Angel was also the youngest martial artist in the history of the Professional Karate Commission to achieve the point totals she had accumulated in 2012. As AKS continues to rank as the #1 school in the PKC nationwide, Angel is one of the biggest reasons for our success. Angel has reached the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt and is an instructor. She is a former 33 WYTV Student Athlete of the Week (2018) and an alumni of Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration - Marketing.
